Tough Times and Death

Tough times never last, but tough people do. – Robert H. Schuller

Where has the time gone. Yesterday I was young, full of life and miserable. Today I am old, near the end of my days but happy. Why is that?

The saying is “Youth is wasted on the young” and there is a lot of truth in that statement. Today’s youth will be tomorrows elderly and I wonder how many regrets they will suffer, for they will suffer from their actions of today. That is most will, but some won’t.

Some of today’s youth understand what is happening to their country and I believe with all my heart they will invoke change in ways we of today cannot imagine. Will that change be good or bad? Maybe a combination of good things and bad things. I think the latter is more likely as that is the way of the world, the way of life.

As I watch and observe where we are today, as a country, I know that change is coming. Today’s environment cannot stand, it will not stand so it must change. The question is when will it change and that I do not know. But we, the ones who really care about the direction of this country, will continue to hang in there because we understand the truth behind the Robert Schuller quote. So I wonder if the pop culture of today will have the stamina to hang in there.

I’m not holding my breath. I know that the youth must change their attitude about life or perish as time and events unveils themselves.

In my youth I thought I knew it all, well most of it anyway. How wrong I was. Now I realize I know very little except what life has revealed to me. As time goes by, if one is willing, one can learn so much. But the youth of today thinks they will live forever. I did.

These are tough times, but they don’t last. Things do get better but it takes time and most of us of the older generation, while we have regrets, we really do have a good life in general. Hence the smart youth of today understands just how much they can learn from the older generation. And they embrace that concept, or at least that has been my experience.

Yet corruption runs wild this day, and no one wants to stop it, or so it seems. However I don’t agree with that concept. The wild corruption of today is nearing its end, time is running out for it, the day of accountability is coming.

Like the giants of yesterday, Ford, Rockefeller, Carnegie, Morgan, and others whose end came so shall it be with the corrupted leaders in power today. Their end is near but for now they play an important part in our development as a country.

So let’s get into specifics, actions and possible consequences as all actions have a consequence. Let us begin with Israel.

It is, and has been taught that the nation which stands with Israel shall not perish from the earth and the nation which defies Israel will perish. This is not a man-made concept this comes from a higher authority, God.

Many people don’t believe in God. They acknowledge Him with words but defy Him with their actions. This so-called nuclear option with Iran is a perfect example. Israel is being defied by politicians who do not understand that evil does exist in the world. The politicians of today really do believe that by destroying this country, and all it stands for, the world will love us.

The problem with this approach is based on a dream world and not reality. When this mess finishes the only nation which will be left standing is Israel. I’m not a Jew, but I don’t have be to understand that the Israel is the chosen of Divine Providence and no man on this planet can change that.

Pop Culture and You

Another example: Recently the homosexual movement targeted Indiana and a small business for declaring that God does exist and that people have a right to believe in him. Well not according to the main stream media and the homosexual movement. In fact using tactics which makes terrorist blush, these “people” will do whatever they can to destroy Christianity. It ain’t going to work and the proof is in the contributions, from complete strangers, to help this small business weather the storm. I think this was God’s plan for this family and I believe He answered their prayers in a most unusual way. So instead of destroying the business these activist actually made it stronger.

While the business survived the politicians of Indiana caved. They surrendered to the forces of evil and these politicians will have to answer to higher authority for their actions. Which brings up another point, and the final point of this blog:

The pop culture and liberals of today believe only in the power of government. That government is the only deity which one should worship. Many politicians of all stripes believe this as well. The proof is delivered in how easy the Republicans cave to the demands of the Democrats. So the only conclusion for this is politicians demand that we the people worship them as gods. Yet they tend to forget, or maybe they hope that an afterlife does not exist. The belief that when one dies that’s it, no more, finished, complete.

Today the homosexual movement is on top of the world but they cannot stay there. They will fall and fall hard. And when they do many will find themselves in situation where guilt and regret control their lives. And nobody will help them. It is the way of life, the way of the universe. And they cannot change the universe or the laws which govern it.

Well if that is true than what is the point of life? Maybe that is why abortion runs wild and uncontrolled. But that is topic for another blog. Those of us who believe in life-after-death do not fear death whereas the atheist does. The bottom line is when we die something else does exist and via the doorway of death we will be forced to confront it. Only we will have no control over what happens to us when we pass though that doorway of death.

We have been given a blueprint of how to live our lives in a way which is good overall. So while the pop culture and political elements of today run crazy and out of control the day approaches where we will be forced into a position we can be proud of or terrified of. That position is created while we are alive on this planet because after we pass the doorway of death we can’t change anything.

Time passes and we all must face the doorway of death at some point. So the question is: Are you ready to pass the door of death?

Something to think about.
