I just ran across a website where the terms changed. It was you buy the book, access the book on line for free. Now it’s create an account, and we will bill you after 30 days for your subscription. The problem is, I don’t know how much it cost hence, while I wouldn’t mind joining, I’m not going to subscribe to something where the cost is hidden. At least I couldn’t find it, and I looked.
This is what makes me angry about websites who hide their fees like it is some big secret, and we won’t tell you until you give us your credit card information. Sorry, no dice. I will not play that game.
While I want to make money with my website I have no intention of hiding any price of anything I sell directly. Now I can’t talk to my affiliates but I like to partner with those entities which tell you their price up front. It is not fair to you to go on blind faith.
Which brings up another point, my website. I have decided to update, streamline it more. This will be version 3 of the site and will include my online store. Hence I am not going to update the present site but rather wait and launch the next version. The blogs, both the main and this quick blog, will be updated as they are created by WordPress, whereas the website is created using a web design program.
