Cancel Culture and Christmas

And know that I am with you always; yes, to the end of time. – Jesus Christ

The cancel culture crowd is once again showing their colors. These people actually believe they have the power to cancel Christmas, a move that has been going on for a very long time. And each time it has failed.

This time these people? actually think they have a chance to pull it off. Well, they don’t. How do I know that? Because Christmas has been around so long and is so powerful this holiday is going nowhere.

First of all, let us forget about all the commercialism which has grown up around this event. Instead let us focus on the root of the day, the birth of Jesus Christ. Christmas is a birthday plain and simple. It is a birthday we celebrate each year, for a man beyond anyone who has lived, is living, and will ever live.

I don’t believe Christ was actually born on December 25, history and research is telling us otherwise. However, I do believe this date, December 25, has found favor with Divine Providence and is why it has lasted so long. It is a blessed day and a very good date to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior. Hence any item that has found favor with God is not going anywhere.

If you were to bet Christmas would be eliminated from our life, it is a bet you would lose. The power of God, our Divine Providence, will never be cancelled or eliminated from our life, now or ever. Christmas is a manifestation of such a power.

The cancel culture move will disappear from our nation, from our world, but Christmas will always be here. Yes, there will be pain in the short term, but that pain is necessary to remind us of who we are, what we are, and who calls the shots. Divine Providence will always call the shots and anyone who thinks, or believes, otherwise is destined to live a small and meaningless life. A life of their own choosing. A life of misery.

Those who have faith in the higher power which controls this universe are happier, and more content with their life than those who deny this power. Divine Providence controls all, even though sometimes it feels differently.

The challenges which confront us are huge, but will be overcome. We will overpower these challenges when we start acknowledging the higher power which controls this universe, and us. We forgot how to rely on Divine Providence, how to rely on the power of self, and the power of our neighbor. It is a lesson most of society has to relearn.

For the rest of us, for me, my response to cancel culture is a simple bah humbug. For the empire of evil shall fall, as it always has. It is only a matter of time.

Merry Christmas to all, and to all may the glory of our Lord and Savior Jesus, shine within us.
