Can You Do It?

If I have lost confidence in myself, I have the universe against me. — Ralph Waldo Emerson

Can you do it is not really the question, the true question should be: Will you do it?

You have within you the power to become whatever it is you want to become, within reason of course. And even that has its exceptions. If you want to be a doctor then you can. But what if you are blind? Well you still can – if you want it bad enough. I’m not saying there won’t be challenges all I’m saying is if you want something bad enough you can always find a way to achieve it.

What is your heart crying out for? What has been holding you back from living your dreams? There is a song deep inside you waiting to be sung. When you sing it out, you will…

And therein lays the power of self. Each of us has the tendency to place limitations upon ourselves. A combination of negative factors when we are growing up is generally the reason we limit ourselves and as we mature most of us never allow ourselves the privilege of outgrowing those limitations. But we don’t have to stay limited if we don’t want to; this choice is completely up to us.

By the time we reach adulthood the limitations we placed upon ourselves is so ingrained within us we don’t realize it. Then when an opportunity comes around we give into our doubt and we let that doubt dictate our actions thus losing the opportunity which could have changed our lives for the better. Sometimes a fantastic opportunity comes around more than once, but generally only once. The fact is when we turn our back on opportunity we hardly ever get a second chance, for once an opportunity is gone it is gone forever.

It’s not to say that different opportunities won’t appear, but they that’s just it, they are different. That one opportunity we could, should’ve had is gone and the regret lingers forever on our mind, sometimes heavily.

So what is the solution? It’s simple really; just have belief and confidence in yourself. The confidence to face any situation with a determination to overcome that situation, no matter what it is. And I will be the first to admit this is much easier said than done. However with a persistent desire to make your life better you can overcome any obstacle that challenges you. I’m living proof of that. Yet my limitations still drag me down into the pits of despair and frustration. And this is not a place I want to remain, for I have lived here all my life, and it is past time for me to evolve into something better.

Yet it is difficult to outgrow our limitations if we are always being told, and instructed, that we need government to survive. When government policies and regulations force us to live and depend upon the “compassion” of government, what those policies and regulations have actually done is condemn us to a life of poverty, misery and despair. The more we rely upon government compassion to solve our problems the deeper and more complex our problems become. It is a vicious cycle deliberately developed by politicians to first confuse then enslave the population.

I had to go to my city hall the other day to pay our water bill and as I entered the main doors a feeling of disgust overcame me. Why? Because in the last few years our government officials, at all levels have betrayed the trust we gave them. I couldn’t wait to get out of that place and I admit that I was rude to the clerk who helped me. As I left the building I ask myself why I was so rude to someone who was just doing her job. The answer was betrayal. I felt betrayed by my own city government. Not true of course but those feelings of government distrust are becoming engrained within me, and that is not right.

Our form of government is the best and greatest on the face of the planet but our current crop of politicians is corrupt and revolting; and it brings the innocent ones down, and that is not fair. I know that I have within me the capability of being financially independent but when I am told by our current crop of elected leaders that I am evil and selfish I get hot under the collar and just plain mad.

All my childhood I was considered inadequate to be worthy of anything, especially of having a lot of money since money was evil. And I believed that lie for all these decades. So when I finally grew up and decided to really push myself and become financially independent I find that I have to fight rules, policies, and regulations which are designed to keep me in the ghetto. It seems like I can’t win but I know, I know I can, if I want it bad enough.

The only way I can stay down is if I permit myself to stay down. So the question for me is not can I do it, but rather will I do it? Will I overcome my own self-imposed limitations and allow myself to become financially independent? Will I allow myself to become rich? Let us just say I’m working on myself.

There are two types of challenges each of us face: internal and external. The internal challenges are set by the way we were raised and our belief system. When we believe we are not worthy of being rich and successful, we won’t be. Because of our internal belief system we will always sabotage our efforts to leave the ghetto, always feeling hollow and unworthy that we can, or could, be anything more. We strike out at anyone and anything because of those negative feelings, blaming society for our own incompetence and inadequacies. It is those internal negative feelings which contribute to a society of malcontents, thugs, and poor living.

Now you can attract money, health, success, happiness, love and more into your life quickly, consistently, and automatically, using the incredible power of the Law of Attraction PLUS the little-known “Missing Secret” that opens the door to uninterrupted abundance. If the Law of Attraction isn’t working for you all the time … or if you simply want to attract MORE … then this program is going to have an instant and astonishing impact on the results you’re getting in life!

Then there is the second type of challenge we face, the external one. This is a challenge which is caused by laws, policies and regulations designed to keep a population under control. So I ask under the control of whom?

Politicians use all types of tools to keep the population under control, the most powerful one being the Internal Revenue Service, or IRS. The rules and regulations concerning our money have been changed to the concept that all money belongs to the government and we are allowed to keep only what the government allocates us to keep. The government again being the current crop of politicians running the country.

This is where many people get confused because they have been conditioned to believe that the government is this all powerful entity without a face. The truth and fact is the government is nothing more than the politicians we elect who hire people to follow senseless rules and policies designed to hinder, never help.

This concept is then re-enforced by the Benedict Arnold’s (formerly known as the main stream media) which, they don’t lie; they just don’t tell the truth to the population. And they wonder why people have such a low opinion of them.

But the bottom line is simple; each individual is responsible for their own life. No government official or bureaucrat can ever relieve you, or me, of that liability. We alone must live our life. It is how we live life that can be negotiated. We can live it in ruins, or we can live it in happiness, which includes being rich.

It has been said that money does not buy happiness and that is true. Money will never buy happiness, which has to come from within first. But having a lot of money sure can increase that happiness. This is another lesson I learned very late in life. Because like millions of others I believed the hype about money and happiness until I learned that the people teaching that philosophy were filthy rich politicians.

You and only you can believe in yourself. No one on this planet can feel what you feel, can think what you think, and can believe what you believe. You are you, an individual just as I am me. I cannot change you, just as you cannot change me. So the question is asked again, will you do it? Will you achieve? Will you believe in yourself? I know what you are capable of doing; I know what I am capable of doing. I must answer for me just as you must answer for yourself.

And if not, why not?
