A New Year – 2025

There is nothing permanent except change. — Heraclitus

The Christmas lights are down and the tree put away for another year. Christmas 2024 is over and 2025 is on its way. It will be here before we know it. And with age, it comes even faster.

My last post I discussed changing the way my blog looked and felt. While change is necessary it may not be in this case. I like my current blog and the way it looks. Simple and clean. So I had to ask myself, why do I want to change it? The answer is I don’t. I like the format, so that can stay the same. However the content needs a constant update to keep up with the times. That is the area where I am failing.

A New Year begins, and California burns

As we begin 2025 LA is suffering a massive political disaster. Fires are burning out of control and homes are lost. It is hell on earth for some, many people. Yet actions have consequences. Those actions: The people of LA voted for this disaster. They believe democrats would protect them… They discovered the hard way, democrats, political democrats don’t protect anyone except themselves.

I know I sound cruel, and I feel for those that lost everything. No one should ever suffer the loss of a home. Yet it was voters who put the morons in power. It was voters who believed that safety could be found in democrat policies. It was the voters who chose DEI over merit. And it was those same voters who lost their homes.

Reality is reality. Fantasy is fantasy. The voters believed the fantasy and ignored the reality. Those actions had, and are having, serious consequences. The issue is, it is continuing.

When the politicians give the governor 25 million dollars to fight President Trump and they ignore the suffering of LA, that becomes a problem. When the major of LA gave away a lot of firefighting equipment to Ukraine, slashed the firefighting budget, and drained the water, that becomes a problem. And when the people were told that fire danger exist and politicians were doing nothing to confront the problem, that became a problem. So instead of confronting the problems, the people, the voters, chose fantasy.

So what is next?

Knowing the liberals of this state, the state of California, nothing. It becomes business as usual. The main stream media will cover for the politicians, and blame others for the failures. Those politicians who caused this problem, they will be rewarded for their incompetence, their failures, and their stupidity. The blame will be placed at the feet of the innocent.

Is There Hope?

I honestly don’t know. Liberalism has found deep roots in this state, formerly known as the great state of California. Those of us who want to leave, but find they can’t, are stuck between a rock and hard place. We have to do the best we can. What surprises me, we are holding our own. We do our best to live our life on our terms, not the politician. And while our successes are small, they do move us forward. So I have come to believe that LA may become an awakening for many, a rude and horrible awakening, but an awakening none-the-less.

It takes a disaster, a disaster which affects the individual before that awakening occurs. And Los Angeles, is a disaster.

A Time to Help

As time passes the full impact of what has, and is, happening will be felt. Yet LA is not the only part of the country which is suffering, the victims of Helene are also feeling the blunt of political malfeasance.

In a few days a new administration will take office (this writing as of 12 January 2025). Things political will change. How is yet to be determined, but I believe the coming change will be positive for people and disastrous for liberals.

Because LA and Helene have affected so many lives, in a very negative way, the people will have to change. Hopefully those changes will hold politicians accountable for their policies, and their desire to destroy the United States.
