Lies, Slavery, and Education

Lack of money is the root of all evil. — George Bernard Shaw

Why is it wrong to have money? Why is it wrong to want the better aspects of life?

When I was a child I was taught by those of authority, that is my teachers, my church, my parents, that having a lot of money is not only wrong it is sinful. Now as a child those words, words from authority figures, carried a lot of meaning. The problem was those thoughts; thoughts which were implanted in my brain during those years have never left me. Why I do not know, but I am now reaping the reward of those lies and paying a very heavy price for not questioning those assumptions.

There are two forces in this country that hinder a person from being rich: self and politicians. I’m going to talk about self in a moment but first let me ask when was the last time you heard a politician, any politician encourage you to be rich? In all my 60 years I have only heard one person, one man expand on the virtues of wealth: Ronald Reagan. And he was vilified beyond belief.

Why is it our leaders do not want anyone to be rich and/or self-reliant? The answer is simple: greed and lust for power. Politicians, especially today’s crop, become so focused on keeping power and enslaving the nation that to even speak of self-reliance is forbidden. And politicians wonder why the economy is in the pits of despair. You will never hear a politician ever encourage you to be rich and strive to exceed your own self-limiting beliefs. On the contrary what you will hear is class envy and resentment. You will hear how the “rich” are the winners of life’s lottery, but you will NEVER hear how those same “rich” people earned, earned their wealth via long hard arduous hours and sacrifice.

We live in the greatest country the world has ever seen, but we act like we are less than third rate, why is that? Again the answer is simple, the desire of leadership, especially current leadership is to enslave a population by making people dependent upon a power-hungry government.

These words may sound harsh as we, as Americans, have never thought that our leaders were capable of such vile actions. However today’s economy, a 14 plus trillion dollar debt, and high unemployment proves our leaders have only one agenda: To turn the United States from a free society to a dependent one. It’s also known as socialism.

How much is 14 trillion dollars? How about this for a number: 14,000,000,000,000. Or to put it in perspective: the earth is approximately 4.5 billion years old, or 4,500,000,000. A human being lives to the approximate age of 75. Light travels about 186,000 miles per second or 5,874,589,152,000 that is 5.87 trillion miles a year. In other words if our debt were miles we would be about half way to our nearest universal neighbor Alpha Centauri. Compared the moon is only 238,857 from the earth and it took us three days to get there. Now, today, we spend 4.7 billion, 4,700,000,000 dollars per day, every day of the year. In short the national debt is insane and it is so big we, as normal individuals, cannot get our mind around it. And the politicians want more money!

Politicians, at least a lot of them, are out to destroy America. Period. Their actions can lead us to no other conclusion. Thus it is up to us, as individuals, to stop the madness. So how do we do that? We stop them by becoming the best that we can be and to become the best we can be we need to educate ourselves.

Education is the answer to stopping a mad-spending politician. For decades our school system has been undermined by a style of thinking based on feelings not logic. And it is getting worse. A majority of Americans cannot write a decent sentence. I see evidence of this in everyday communication on topics I care about. While I make tons of writing mistakes I do my best to ensure those mistakes are at a minimum and if I am making comments or writing articles (like this one) I read and re-read it several times before posting.

But education is more than just writing, it consist of understanding and logical thinking. We, as human beings, all feel powerful and intense emotions, but if we let those emotions control us then we fall into the trap that has led us to this point in time and space. Emotions must be tempered with logic and logic comes from understanding and understanding comes from education. When the education system fails it sets up a chain reaction and we, as a country find ourselves becoming dependent on individuals who promise us a better life but deliver only misery and despair. Individuals who, according to their actions, want to enslave us and set themselves up as the slave masters.

The way to break this cycle is to educate ourselves and we start with one simple question: Who am I?

Once we answer that one question we begin a process of self-discovery. That one question is the foundation, the very cornerstone of building a great life. The “who am I” question then leads to another question: What do I really want out of life?

This second question causes us to think about our life in great detail. Are you happy with your life? If not, why not? What action is required for you to change your life and make it better? Now comes the tricky part – politicians are mostly responsible for the laws that entice a person, entice them with free money, a better life, and punishment of those who have more. The problem is those laws destroy life, not enhance it. Education teaches us that.

We, as a nation, get the government we deserve, that is when we vote for slime we get slime. But we also have the power to apply a degreaser, which is we vote the rascals out of office to prevent them from inflicting more damage upon us. Still it takes time to instill change, but during that time we, as individuals, can educate ourselves in numerous ways. Learning doesn’t stop just because one is out of school; in fact real learning starts the day one leaves the school campus for the last time. But education requires commitment, a dedication to improve the self in all areas of this thing we call life.

So, you have a choice: you can be dependent upon someone who will use you for their advantage or you can use yourself to your own advantage and enjoy a great and marvelous life in spite of the politicians.
