Taxes and Realityville

I just read an article about budget shortfalls and how states are trying to tax the internet now in order to make up for those shortfalls. In fact California just did that, all in the expectations of receiving a ton of additional revenue (dream on Sacramento, dream on).

Now Congress and the Administration are talking about adding more taxes into the economic equation. Oh but we going to “cut” spending. Really? It seems like I’ve seen, and have been to this dance before. Raise taxes, but no spending cuts.

Well before anything happens I have a question: WHERE’S THE MONEY?

Where’s the money we already give in the form of taxes? Who is the recipient of that money? It seems to me we pay enough money to keep the schools open, the safety responders employed, and the state parks open. So if schools, safety (police, fire, etc.), and essential services are not getting the money (read that the sky will fall if we don’t get more taxes), who exactly is getting the money?

We the taxpayers send billions of dollars annually to the state and federal government so why are they demanding we send them more?

There is only one answer to this question: The current crop of politicians, at all levels, wants to enslave us, the people. It is no more complicated than that. They, the elitist government officials, want to be the slave masters and keep the rest of us on the plantation (forget skin color).

We have the greatest form of government on the face of the planet, but the current crop of morons now occupying the seats of government have betrayed the Constitution and the people, all for greed and lust for their own power. It is not the form of government I have a problem with, it is the idiots in power I have a problem with.

But things are a changing, and they are changing rapidly. In 2010 we the people sent a vivid message to the elitist of all stripes telling them to shape up or they will ship out. So far most of the established elitists have not taken heed of that message. Hence in 2012 like 2010 we the people will ensure they get the message with a pink slip. Many an elitist disregarded the message in 2010 and received such a notice, hence they are no more. Those that survived the last round of cuts are themselves facing a new reality. We the people are no longer Mister Nice Guy.

How do I know this? Because I am a student of history and history has many lessons to teach. They who do not learn from history are doomed to repeat it at their own peril. And politicians NEVER learn from history.

Politicians cannot threaten us any longer; they cannot cut safety or schools without serious damage to themselves. They cannot play to their favorite group and promise them the universe without destroying their own careers.

The national labor board has chosen to side with unions over the Boeing issue, a mistake they think will help them, but in reality will doom both unions and the politicians who side with unions. Why? Because we are hurting out here in Realityville. We are sacrificing everything we can in order to survive political stupidity, greed, and lust for power. We are asking ourselves why is government, read that the idiots in power, doing this to us? Why can’t they see that their policies are destroying the greatest country on earth? The answer all comes back to greed and lust for power, the Master mentality of the ultimate elitist.

So I say to these elitist, on both sides of the isle, enjoy your few remaining months because in November 2012 we the people will speak, and and provide you with your pink slip.
