Faith and Trust

Place your trust in government and follow the path of civilizations lost or place your faith in the people and reach beyond the stars. – GP McClure

This last week I had an interesting thought, one that the more I think about the more I feel it to be true. It has been said that all civilizations reach a zenith and then fall. I have heard it said that the United States has reached its zenith and must now pay for its sins. Sins? What sins? Upon which the liberal elites release a barrage of items, all disparaging the United States. Perhaps slavery is the biggest of these “sins.”

Whatever the mantra of the political elites the message is always the same, the United States must pay for all the evil it has done. Of course the message is always on the negative and never on the positive. Apparently the country has never done any good for anyone but rather has raped the world with its imperialism.

In Embracing Chaos, Tom Peters is at his most erudite and entertaining. The success stories he tells provide a treasure of new ideas and a model for how you’ll face the difficulties ahead of you. He gives perspective on the challenges of chaos and advice on how you can enhance your success.

To a logical human being this message is a fallacy but then again we are talking about the political elites, those who are not logical but rather the hug-a-tree save-a-snail mentality types. Those with a limited mental capacity who will never admit they are wrong but everyone else is. And if you don’t agree with their terminology then you are evil and should be punished. In their view government is the only entity that can save America. Only government can save the people since government knows better than the population at large.

However history has proven that if you place your trust in government the country will die. The Great British Empire is no more because government was the all-powerful entity. The same holds true for the Spanish Empire. Germany, Greece, Rome, and Japan all suffered the same fate. In fact any country that placed their faith in government and government leaders has always, without exception fallen. And now these countries, if they are still around, are only a former shell of their once great power. Think of it as death by government.

It took hundreds of years for these countries to achieve the greatness they once held. Their rise was slow but their fall almost immediate. So now the countries of Europe, a civilization which has been in existence for a thousand years, is only a ghost of what they once were. Yet even today the remaining countries of Europe are dying a slow and miserable death because the people placed their faith in a lie, the lie of government salvation.

Now add one more country to the mix, the United States. This country has only been around for a couple of hundred years but we have saved the the world more than once from dictators and tyrants. In comparison to the rest of the world we are only toddlers but it is this country, the United States which now leads the world in everything. Or rather did. So what is happening?

As the liberal elites enforce their vision upon the nation we find that we are being forced to change our focus from individualism to the power of government. I submit those who accept this concept are the problem and not the solution. This country was founded on the notion of the individual and not the power of government. This is why we have three branches of government with no one branch being superior to another. But today we see political elites defying the very laws which have carried this nation beyond anything the world has ever seen. And the worse part, the Benedict Arnold’s (formerly known as the main stream media) supports, and applauds this flagrant attack on the Constitution.

It has been preached and taught that the Constitution is old and out of place in today’s world. To which I say bunk. The Constitution is designed for one thing, to limit the power of government and enhance the power of the individual. Those that preach otherwise are determined to destroy the very fabric of this nation. How do I know this? A simple look at current headlines tells us the story. You don’t have to look any further than that.

So what has liberalism given us? What promises have the political elites made to the population at large? What promises does big government offer us in ways of life enhancement? Let us explore this concept for a few moments. To date political elitist has given and promised us (just to name a few items):

  • The murder of unborn children (abortion on demand).
  • Broken families (welfare).
  • Ignorant, dumbed-down education.
  • Enforcement of immoral conduct against our desires.
  • The coddling of criminal elements and the destruction of their victims.
  • A news media which is totally biased and one-sided.
  • The destruction of personal initiative.
  • Reliance upon government programs which destroy self-respect.
  • Rules and regulations which destroy jobs.
  • Class envy and the demonization of self-reliance and advancement.
  • TSA and the police state.
  • Pure hatred for conservatives, without cause or reason.
  • The desire to become like Europe.
  • Special privileges for the elites and then calling it fairness.
  • Demonization of Christianity.
  • The ACLU and trial lawyers.
  • High taxes and more taxes.
  • An out of control government.

Just to name a few items.

It has been said that liberals think outside the box, that the liberal political elites come up with solutions for the problem of the moment. And what is that solution? Higher taxes and more government of course. After all only government can fix the problems.

So what has conservatism given us? One word says it all: Freedom.

In this provocative and thought-provoking program, Steven Hartman takes you on an extraordinary journey with the epic’s hero, Arjuna, as he searches for ultimate peace in his life, all the while standing in the midst of a great battle. As he prepares to embark in warfare against his cousin, he is given the gift of having the divine one, Krishna, at his side. Krishna imparts all of his great wisdom to Arjuna in what appears to be eons, but in fact, is only a moment in time.

Freedom to make mistakes, to speak one’s mind, to hold people accountable for their actions. Freedom to live, to grow, to advance without fear or ridicule. Freedom to choose. Freedom for opportunity. But most of all freedom from hate.

Unlike the liberal political elites conservatives don’t hate people we hate policies that deny freedom. But political elites cannot, and refuse to separate the two items. Thus liberal elites do everything in their power, supported by the main stream media, to destroy any idea which contradicts their own. I don’t know of a conservative whoever wrote a book about the assassination of a president, but I know of liberals who have. I don’t know of a conservative who has denied anyone the right to be rich. But I know of liberals who have. I don’t know of a conservative who defecated on, and destroyed property. But I know of a recent movement who was praised for such actions.

So I have to ask the question where do you, an individual put your faith and trust? In big government or the individual? Your answer determines how you live your life and what kind of country you will live in.

And the question will be answered at some point, whether you want it to or not, make no mistake about that.
